I’m not gonna waste much keystrokes on this other than to say Trump endorsing Newt will be as helpful as Herman Cain’s endorsement prior to the Florida primary.
What happened to Mitt Romney yesterday is only a small example of how the media is gonna go after whoever the GOP nominee is. It won’t matter how the GOP candidate answers a question, they’re going to twist what he says or put a spin on what he says to hurt him and protect Barack Obama.
What disappoints me is how some conservative columnists like Jonah Goldberg, who I respect, is jumping on Romney.
What the hell is this?
If this is how conservative writers are gonna react prior to a billion dollars of attack ads on the GOP nominee, then we’re in huge trouble.
Jim DeMint rightly points out that Mitt Romney showed toughness in Florida that convinced voters he could take it to Obama.
The Blazereports S.E. Cupp and the Blaze panel sat down with Senator Jim DeMint during Thursday’s “Real News From The Blaze” to discuss the 2012 election, particularly Romney’s success with Tea Partiers in the Florida Primary. Of Romney, DeMint said, “he showed that he could stand tough” in Florida and “that’s what made the difference in my mind.”
“I‘m glad we dispelled this myth that Tea Partiers won’t support Romney.”
Is Mitt Romney the perfect candidate? Not even close. But, he’s a better package than Newt. Electing one guy to the presidency doesn’t fix what’s broken. A GOP president is a good start. However, what’s necessary is electing true conservatives around him in the Senate and the House.

I doubt very highly that President Obama leaned on the teachings of Jesus Christ as a basis for passing a piece of legislation (Obamacare) Democrats have been waiting to shove down America’s throat for the past 70 years.
Who does he think he’s fooling besides his own base?
For it says in the book of Matthew 7:22-24 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Buzz Feed reports President Barack Obama has been taking lumps from Republicans for years over his support for Wall Street and health care reform, but today at the National Prayer Breakfast he claimed support from on high to defend two of his most controversial legislative achievements.
"And so when I talk about our financial institutions playing by the same rules as folks on Main Street, when I talk about making sure insurance companies aren’t discriminating against those who are already sick, or making sure that unscrupulous lenders aren’t taking advantage of the most vulnerable among us, I do so because I genuinely believe it will make the economy stronger for everybody. But I also do it because I know that far too many neighbors in our country have been hurt and treated unfairly over the last few years, and I believe in God’s command to 'love thy neighbor as thyself.'"
What we have here is a Biblically illiterate president cherry picking parts of Scripture he thinks justifies his actions.
Also written in Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
How would Obama justify his support for Abortion given that Christ specifically spoke out for the protection of children (the least of these?
Or Genesis 2:24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
How does Obama justify his position not to defend traditional marriage given the fact that the Lord God he professes to believe in designed marriage to be between a man and a woman?
What the answer, Mr. President?

Gateway Pundit What a disgrace. Barack Obama gave a campaign speech at the National Prayer Breakfast this morning. Wesel Zippers OMG religious fanatic! OMG Christian Taliban! OMG Jesus freak! OMG! OMG! OMG!*
Mitt Romney took as Gorge Bush would put it a “thump’en” is South Carolina. Ten days later in Florida he showed some moxey and returned the favor.
The Blazereports three years ago this week, a newly elected President Obama faced the American people and said that if he couldn’t turn the economy around in three years, he’d be looking at a one-term proposition. We’re here to collect.”
That was the central focus of GOP front-runner Mitt Romney’s rousing victory speech. He delivered his remarks after enjoying a sweeping victory in the Florida Primary.
“There are fewer candidates than when the race began, but the three gentlemen left are serious and able competitors,” he added. “And I congratulate them on another hard-fought contest in this campaign. Primary contests are not easy – and they’re not supposed to be.
Newt forces Romney to go more to the right and that’s a good thing. Santorum staying in the race also helps Romney by spiting the conservative vote if they’re not already going to Romney.

Maybe the president can start a singing group after he loses the election?
Daily Mailreports President Barack Obama loves to serenade his wife by singing songs from Al Green, Marvin Gaye and other R&B great, the First Lady revealed Tuesday night.
'He does have a beautiful voice, and he sings to me all the time,' Michelle Obama told 'The Tonight Show' host Jay Leno.
The president gained a little attention in January for breaking out a bar of an Al Green song during a fundraiser at the Apollo Theater in New York City.
This reflects poorly on Newt who’s really coming off as not only a bully who doesn’t like to get hit back, but, also a sore loser that can’t rise above the fray. Not very presidential looking, I think.
Washington Postreport Newt Gingrich gave his post-primary speech tonight while gracelessly declining to congratulate the man who beat him by double digits. According to the Romney campaign, Gingrich hadn’t called to congratulate the Florida winner as of 9:30 p.m. ET.
Of course Obama is gonna be popular in states with the highest concentration of people living on the public dole.
His base of support are zero-value voters (47% that pay no Federal income taxes) that contribute nothing to society and yet reap the benefits other taxpayers kick into the public kitty.
This is what has to change after the next election with those 47% contributing some taxes of their own.
I like political dramas, the most recent one I saw was "The Ides of March" with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling. I thought it was good, it showed the more cut throat side of politics even though it was fictional, which is why I'm excited for "Game Change" There will be cut throat politics, but it's going to be based on true events. If you remember the 2008 campaign season here in the U.S., it was an exciting time, it was high octane from the time Barack Obama emerged as a frontrunner for the Democratic party in Iowa. So even though this story will be told from the GOP side of things, I'm sure political junkie/nerds like me can't wait to check this movie out (Julianne Moore looks chillingly close playing Sarah Palin). Watch the trailer below:
I know that MSNBC is the propaganda arm of the Obama White House. But, what Ed Schultz has done tonight has taken deceitfulness to a new low, even for them.
Not more than 35 minutes ago Ed Schultz reported that two poll the Washington Post and Rasmussen both had Obama’s approval ratings at over 50%. I ran for my computer to verify such a claim and could not find such a poll. Clarence Thomas once famously said that it’s impossible to prove a negative. MSNBC is really hitting rock bottom with their lies to fool the public.

And the bitterness between the Romney and Gingrich camp continues.
I for one am not freaked out by the nastiness like some others have been. I seem to remember that Obama and Clinton was just as nasty if not worse. Hillary thought she was gonna get coroneted as the Dem nominee, when all of a sudden this no-name from the southside of Chicago with no elective experience showed up and ruined her plans. That was a bitter contest that didn’t seem to keep the Democrats from uniting in the end.
Gateway Punditreports John McCain was a bit offended today when he heard that Newt Gingrich called him a “moderate” conservative. (Really John?) McCain fired back at the Gingrich camp claiming Sarah Palin doesn’t know Newt like I know Newt.
McCain also blamed Newt for the “Bridge to Nowhere” even though he had been out of office for several years when that earmark was pushed through.
Newt’s electability is an issue.

What surprises me is the amount of complaints from the Gingrich camp and his surrogates as to Romney’s tactics. I find it amazing given the way Gingrich attack Romney about Bain Capital and overseas bank accounts that were legal.
BuzzFeedreports Mitt Romney's goal in Florida is no longer just winning.
After Gingrich Newt scored a surprise blow-out victory in South Carolina last week, the former Massachusetts governor not only unleashed a political broadside of epic proportions.
"It not about winning here anymore," one Romney staffer told BuzzFeed. "It's about destroying Gingrich — and it's working."
After two standout debate performances that put him up 9 points in recent polls, Romney is keeping the pressure on Gingrich, looking to score a blow-out victory of his own here.
To that end, Romney has rolled out a team of surrogates in the Sunshine State to take the fight to Gingrich in person: from Connie Mack (III) and Connie Mack (IV), to Rep. Jason Chaffetz and Sen. John McCain. Romney has also aired a controversial ad featuring Tom Brokaw announcing that Gingrich had been sanctioned by the House.
When was politics supposed to be an honorable sport? It isn’t!It’s a dirty savage business that’s not meant for the faint of heart.Newt’s is getting his bell rung in Florida, and Fred Thompson who slept through his 2008 presidential run doesn’t like it.
Gateway Pundit reports former Senator Fred Thompson, a Gingrich supporter, told Meet the Press today that the Mitt Romney camp has “Drudge in their back pocket.” Via Meet the Press
This playing the victim routine Newt has his surrogates running is not very becoming.

Obama loved to say that he inherited… yada, yada, yada during the first two years of his presidency. It was his way of blaming George Bush for his trouble and it was unbecoming for a president to do let alone a grown man.
Ronald Reagan, dealt with a much tougher economic situation with double digit interests rates, double digit unemployment, and double digit inflation and not once did he whine about inheriting anything.
He just worked hard, didn’t play 95 rounds of golf and dealt with the job as president like a true leader.
Instapundit via James Pethokoukis at Rnterprise Blogreports Ronald Reagan inherited a Long Recession. The economy declined 0.3 percent in 1980, grew at a subpar 2.5 percent in 1981, and then plunged 1.9 percent in 1982. The lengthy downturn was really the culmination of more than a decade of bad economic policy. But the Reagan Recovery was stunning. GDP rose 4.5 percent in 1983 and 7.2 percent in 1984. It was Morning in America, and Reagan won reelection by a landslide.
Barack Obama also inherited a Long Recession. According the National Bureau of Economic Research, the U.S. economy entered recession in 2007 and stayed there until June 2009. But the Obama Recovery has been terribly weak. The economy grew at a 2.8 percent pace in the second half of 2009, 3.0 percent in 2010, and — according to new Commerce Department data – 1.7 percent in 2011. We’ll see what happens in the 2012 election, but Obama’s current approval rating is 43 percent, according to Gallup.
As economist Lawrence Kudlow of CNBC notes:
After 10 quarters of recovery, the Reagan growth rate was 6 percent. Compare that with Obama’s 2.4 percent. Or compare Obama’s 2.4 percent with the 4.6 percent post-World War II average recovery rate after 10 quarters.
I love Sarah but I think a lot of my fellow conservatives are debate obsessed to a “blind spot”.
Yes, Newt is a great debater but he has some body language quirks that would sink him against Barack Obama a lot of people aren’t picking up on.
Gateway Punditreports Sarah Palin told Judge Jeanine Pirro [last night] that Newt Gingrich is the best Republican candidate who can articulate solutions the best.
“Newt Gingrich would clobber Obama.”
Newt has a nasty habit of looking pissed off whenever somebody says something he doesn’t like. That’s not a good thing against a debate with Barack Obama.
How one comes across on TV is a huge factor too many conservatives are totally ignoring about Newt. The three debates against Obama will be about more than just the substance of the rhetoric.
Let’s be honest, Newt Gingrich is a old, out of shape, not particularly good looking white guy against a slim and good looking African American president. For political junkies like me, such superficial comparison holds no water. But for 100 million Americans who watch the Jersey Shore, or The Factor, or the Biggest Loser, Obama wins the debate before a word comes out of his mouth. Newt’s slovenly appearance is a big distraction.
So, Sarah Palin and a lot of other conservatives better wake up and realize that life is not fair and Newt will be disqualified by millions even before 1 billion dollars hammers his baggage.

• Sheldon Adelson is the founder and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp., which owns the Sands Macau in China
• Adelson has given $10 million to bolster Gingrich's campaign and has promised up to $10 million more
• The Department of Justice and SEC are investigating whether Las Vegas Sands violated federal bribery laws
The billionaire casino mogul who has breathed new life into Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign with millions of dollars in donations is facing a federal investigation over whether his company violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits bribing foreign officials.
The investigation stems from a lawsuit filed by a former executive at the Sands Macau in China, the company has said. Steven C. Jacobs claims he was told the keep quiet about investigations of local officials and the possible presence of the triads - Chinese organized crime - in the casino.
Sheldon Adelson, who founded and runs Las Vegas Sands Corp -- one of the largest casino and resort companies in the world, has denied the allegations in the lawsuit and said the company is cooperating with federal investigators.
Politics is a dirty business and things are said that may not necessarily ring true.
Mitt Romney is banging Newt Gingrich over the head in Florida about his ethics probe while he was speaker. Gingrich was vindicated in the end as committing no wrong doing. But, that doesn’t matter in the nasty game of politics.
Hot Airreports in a statement Saturday, former NBC “Nightly News” anchor Tom Brokaw, who is featured in the ad reporting on Gingrich’s 1997 ethics investigation, said, “I am extremely uncomfortable with the extended use of my personal image in this political ad. I do not want my role as a journalist compromised for political gain by any campaign.”…
The NBC legal department has written a letter to the campaign asking for the removal of all NBC News material from their campaign ads. Similar requests have gone out to other campaigns that NBC says have inappropriately used clips from “Nightly News,” “Meet the Press,” “Today” and MSNBC material.
Marco Rubio unleashes a scathing but very accurate attack on the failed Obama regime.
The Blazereports Sen. Marco Rubio on Saturday delivered a sharp rebuke of President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address, saying Obama avoided discussing much of his administration‘s accomplishments because he’s “made everything worse” during his time in office.
“It was an opportunity for the president to talk about his accomplishments over the last three years and to lay out his plans for the year ahead. And he missed on both counts,” the Florida Republican said, delivering the weekly GOP address. “You didn’t hear much talk about the success of his administration — and that’s because there isn’t much.”
This is what Rush Limbaugh likes to call a random act of journalism.
President Obama and the Democrats passed everything they wanted against the wishes of the American people when they had control of both houses of congress.
Usually president’s run on their record in office to get re-elected. But, not Obama and Tapper explains why:
JAKE TAPPER: What’s interesting, George, is the conundrum in which President Obama finds himself. He really can’t run on so many of his major legislative accomplishments — regardless of the merits of health care reform, financial reform, the stimulus — they’re not popular. So what you see is President Obama putting out other issues to discuss: raising taxes on the wealthy, raising taxes on corporations so as to bring jobs back to the United States. These are the issues he wants to talk about, because it’s going to be difficult for him to talk about his record when it comes to his big achievements
