Hypocrisy, Lies, Deception, Warren Buffett and taxes

While some conservative commentators, particularly  Mark Levin, have been going bananas attacking other conservatives like Ann Coulter over RomneyCare, I choose to keep my eyes on our true enemy.
President Barack Obama, Warren Buffett and the media are currently conspiring to commit one of the biggest media frauds in the history of the United States.
“Is it fair “the rich” pay lower taxes than secretaries?” is the template Barack Obama is endeavoring to ride to his re-election.  The basis of the question is extremely misleading given the fact the United States has a “progressive tax” that charges a higher rate of income tax the more money a person earns in salary.

Buffett deceit # 1
Warren Buffett doesn’t pay himself a salary for a very good reason.  If he did, he would have to pay 35% in Fed taxes.
Buffett deceit # 2
Buffett earns his money through the selling of stocks that are taxed at 15% capital gains rate.  Comparing personal income tax with capital gains taxes as if they were the same, is like saying the tax you pay for a can of soda and a pack of cigarettes are the same.  They’re totally different rates.
Buffett deceit # 3
Buffett owns many companies like Dairy Queen and Geico Insurance that pay the highest cooperate tax rate in the world at 35%.  So in actuality, Buffett is paying at least at least 50% (35% cooperate plus 15% cap gains).  This is the reason Buffet doesn’t pay himself any salary to avoid paying personal income taxes.
Buffett deceit # 4
For all the talk President Obama is deceitfully spewing on the American people, his buddy Warren Buffett made a load of cash in the subprime mortgage fiasco because Buffett had controlling interests in Moody’s.  Charles Gasparino has a piece in the New York Post, Saint Warren’s dark side
He writes:
“But other items really take the shine off St. Warren’s halo — like his insistence that the ratings agencies didn’t play a key role in setting up the 2008 financial meltdown.
In fact, the ratings biz was rife with conflicts of interest, since the agencies were paid by the same entities they were rating. Most people figure that’s why these “watchdogs” ignored major signs of trouble in the housing markets as they slapped all those Triple-A ratings on the toxic housing-related debt that was at the heart of the financial crisis.
But Buffett has publicly defended the rating agencies as bit players in the debacle, caught up in the mania much like nearly everyone else. His obvious motive: He held a major stake in rating agency Moody’s Investors Service, so Berkshire got a nice cut out of all those fees that Moody’s “earned” as it fueled the crisis.”
Buffett deceit # 5
Warren Buffett so far is getting away with possibly being involved in “Insider trading”
“The SEC interviewed Buffett last year over one of the most sordid corporate affairs I’ve seen in a long time: His longtime aide and one-time heir-apparent bought shares in a company called Lubrizol just before Buffett purchased the outfit.
The executive, David Sokol, made a hefty profit from the purchase, and even advised Buffett to buy the company in the first place.
Insider trading? I can’t say if it was outside the law. But the SEC is looking into the matter. (SEC and Sokol spokesmen declined to comment on the probe’s status; Buffett didn’t return repeated calls seeking comment.)
Yet I don’t recall any major media outfit bringing up the sordid affair while Buffett was lecturing the nation on tax fairness. Nor did any jump on Buffett’s bizarre initial reaction as Sokol was resigning from Berkshire last year: He defended Sokol’s actions — which, even if they weren’t illegal, still smack of the kind of corporate favoritism that Obama and the rest of the left continually denounce.”
Buffett deceit #6
For all of Buffett’s sanctimoniously complaining his secretary pays higher taxes than he does, (a flat out lie that I have shown above) he seems to have trouble paying taxes he owes-period.

From the Huffington Post:  A little over two weeks ago, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, the third-richest person in the world, penned an op-ed critical of the low tax rates for the superrich. It would seem his own company hasn't prioritized paying its rightful share in a timely fashion either.
Berkshire Hathaway, the eighth-largest public company in the world according to Forbes, openly admits to still owing taxes for years 2002 through 2004 and 2005 through 2009, according to the New York Post. The company says it expects to "resolve all adjustments proposed by the US Internal Revenue Service" within the next year.

I have a problem with people who lie and you should too.

Romney kicks butt in Florida while Newt fizzles

I think Florida proves that Mitt Romney can get down and dirty when he has to. Critics prior to the Florida contest said Romney was too soft.
They’re not saying that anymore.
Gingrich on the other hand comes out of Florida like a bully who likes throw punches. But, when you smack him back in the mouth like Romney did, he runs away and complains that he got hit too hard.
Romney’s back in the saddle again.

Beating Obama more important than beating the GOP establishment

This rift between GOPers that support Romney and Gingrich needs to heal. I’m not a fan of the GOP establishment and have strongly voiced it on this blog. However, supporting Newt Gingrich as a means to stuff it down the GOP establishment’s throat is really shooting ourselves in the foot.

If we want to beat the establishment, we need to get rid of Boehner, Cantor and the others at the ballot box one by one and take over the party.  We change the party from the bottom up, not the top down.

Sarah Palin: “Newt Gingrich would clobber Barack Obama in a debate” The Last Tradition says a fat sloppy looking white guy has no shot

I love Sarah but I think a lot of my fellow conservatives are debate obsessed to a “blind spot”.

Yes, Newt is a great debater but he has some body language quirks that would sink him against Barack Obama a lot of people aren’t picking up on.

Gateway Pundit reports Sarah Palin told Judge Jeanine Pirro [last night] that Newt Gingrich is the best Republican candidate who can articulate solutions the best.

“Newt Gingrich would clobber Obama.”

Newt has a nasty habit of looking pissed off whenever somebody says something he doesn’t like. That’s not a good thing against a debate with Barack Obama.

How one comes across on TV is a huge factor too many conservatives are totally ignoring about Newt.
The three debates against Obama will be about more than just the substance of the rhetoric.

Let’s be honest, Newt Gingrich is a old, out of shape, not particularly good looking white guy against a slim and good looking African American president. For political junkies like me, such superficial comparison holds no water. But for 100 million Americans who watch the Jersey Shore, or The Factor, or the Biggest Loser, Obama wins the debate before a word comes out of his mouth. Newt’s slovenly appearance is a big distraction.

So, Sarah Palin and a lot of other conservatives better wake up and realize that life is not fair and Newt will be disqualified by millions even before 1 billion dollars hammers his baggage.

President Obama channeedl Joseph Goebbels at SOTU and continue to tell the big lie about Warren Buffett’s secy and taxes

Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister for the Nazis once famously said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

President Obama, Warren Buffett, the media and the Democrat Party for almost a year have repeated the same lie that Warren Buffet’s secretary pays a higher tax rate than the second richest man in America without pointing out they’re comparing apples to oranges of our progressive tax system.

It’s the kind of big lie that would make Goebbels smile from the gates of Hel for its deceitfulness. Warren Buffett earns his money, not by a salary like his secretary, but through capital gains on the buying and selling of stocks and dividends on investments at 15%. But, what President Obama and Buffett don’t admit to is that Buffett’s companies pay a 35% tax rate, the highest corporate rate in the world. So Buffett is being tax at least 50% when you add the corporate and capital gains together.
If Warren Buffett’s secretary is paid a six figure income, she’s paying between 28% to 35% in federal income taxes. That’s less than the at least 50% Buffett is paying not including a wholes hosts of other fess he’s paying.

Oh, did mention 47% of Americans pay no Federal income taxes—peried!

Nonetheless, President Obamna continues his Goebbels game plan to deceive the American public. How the man can sleep at night is beyond me.

Red Tails, untold American history thanks to Democrats

It was under F.D.R., a president Liberals love to praise, that African Americans were forced to serve in a segregated Army. He also put Japanese Americans in internment camps, another injustice Libs never acknowledge.

The late Sen Robert Byrd, a Democrat Liberals love to laud as a champion of the party once made these comments about serving in the Army with African Americans:

“ I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. ”

That was the sentiment of the Democrat Party during the time these brave African Americans served in the Red Tails. It was the same sentiment that Democrats used to pass Jim Crow laws. That’s the racism of the Democrat Party who was by the way the original enslavers of Blacks.

And isn’t it very interesting that no American film studio, again controlled by Liberals, wanted to make this film.

I’m glad this story is being told. These men deserve the glory and recognition for what they did in WW ll for their country. But, let’s get the history totally accurate.

Freedom killers and Envy Merchants out to get Paula Dean

I never heard of Paula Dean until after a couple of days ago. The media is trying so hard to gin up a backlash against the southern cuisine chef because she specializes in the kinds of fatty foods the Left feels guilty about eating themselves.

A few days ago Dean revealed that she has type-2 diabetes and that she’s become a spokesperson for diabetes drug maker. In the real world of free capitalism, it sure sounds like a smart business move to me. However, the Food Police libs that wanna control other people’s lives believe they have an opportunity to make life difficult for Dean.

These elites need to read the Declaration of Independence whereby every American has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

If I wanna eat fatty foods that can clog the arteries of a Blue whale, that’s my prerogative as an American. If I wanna drive a muscle care that gets 2 miles a gallon, don’t talk to me about a Chevy Volt that takes 12 hours to charge up. And if Paula Dean can make money cooking up hamburgers in lard with doughnuts, and afterwards plug some diabetes meds, it’s called America where dreams came true along with high cholesterol count.

Blame Feminism for the cowardly acts of the captain and crew aboard Costa Concordia

What would the Godfather say about the captain and crew of the Costa Concordia?

When watching this video keep in mind the Godfather represents what Italian men used to be—proud warriors and descendants of the Roman Empire who ruled the world for more than 600 years. Johnny Fontane embodies what Italian men aboard the Costa Concordia have become today after nearly 50 years of European Feminism that teaches traditional masculinity is oppressive to woman.

Please read Rich Lowry’s fine piece in the New York Post: Woman and Children Last: No chivalry on the Costa Concordia. He points out the stark differences of how the crew aboard the Titanic acted like traditional men while those aboard the Costa Condordia acted like women.

I’m not trying to single out Italian men because the same crisis exists in the United States. We have almost two generation of males in this country that hasn’t be taught what a real man is or suppose to act like. Because of Feminist propaganda, traditional gender roles have been blurred to the point where it’s politically incorrect to acknowledge specific differences between men and woman. Put simply, manhood has to be taught to boys in order for them to become real men. And that's not happening anymore.

Archbishop Timothy Dolan: The chaste are 'freaks' claims sexual promiscuity has become the norm. You got that right.

Dolan is absolutely right.

Thanks to Liberalism’s hold on Pop Culture, what’s wrong is right, and what’s right is wrong.

Daily Mail reports sex is so commonplace in today’s society that the chaste are now considered freaks, the Archbishop of New York has claimed.

Archbishop Timothy Dolan said that things had gone so wrong that people who waited until they were married before losing their virginity felt like deviants.

He blamed reality TV shows such as Jersey Shore - which reduce sex to 'animal rutting' - for flipping the Biblical teachings on their head.

What Romney has to do to solidify his candidacy is pick a strong conservative VP like Rick Perry

Conservatives are still not warming up to Mitt Romney.  But, choosing Rick Perry or somebody else along those lines as his running mate would go a very long way to bring them around.

Doesn’t #Occupiers remind you of the soldier Patton had to slap silly because he was a coward?

I was watching Patton like I usually do to start the New Year when I came to thus iconic scene.

That sniffling little soldiers reminded me so much of the whining losers that make up Occupy Wall Street. These lazy good for nothings have nothing better to do than complain about the 1% in this country. They have no drive or desire to better themselves and expect Daddy government to reach into the packers of those of us who actually work for a living to give them a free handout.

Yeah, they’re just cowards who are afraid of life because they can’t hack it in the real world away from academia. Maybe if they had a more practical degree than Lesbian studies or Multicultural studies, they’d have a real job by now.

I rather have the most conservative candidate, but I’m afraid I’ll end up with Mitt Romney

I reached the point on TLT where I can no longer put up a post about the latest poll coming out of Iowa or New Hampshire. I couldn’t care less at this point because I don’t consider it news anymore.

Some other blogs may do it up to the last minute before the caucuses start tomorrow, but I’m done.

As far as which candidate I prefer, I’ve written posts touting Rick Perry, Herman Cain (the most posts) Michele Bachmann, and Rick Santorum. So, I think it’s obvious to of my readers that I’m not high on Romney, Paul or Newt. However, living in New York, I have very little impact on the race and by the time the primary comes to NY, the nomination may be a foregone conclusion.

So, if the nominee is Mitt Romney, then what’s done is done. I’ll be fully supportive and behind the eventual GOP nominee with every ounce of strength and TLT is going to reflect it because Barack Obama needs to be retired on Jan 20, 2013.

Romney may not be the candidate we conservatives want and I hope some evangelicals don’t stay home because of Romney’s Mormonism. That would be an extremely foolish thing to do if it means Obama keeps the White House. This is a vote for POTUS, not pastor or bishop. Obama is the bigger enemy, not any theological differences in church doctrine.

Prepare for the *&#@storm coming from the Obama media

The media whores that do the bidding for the Democrat Party is gonna fight tooth and nail to get Barack Hussein Obama re-elected. It’s gonna be deceitful and nasty as NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and especially MSNBC will stop at nothing to demonize whoever the GOP nominee is. It won’t matter if the nominees are Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Rick Santrum, Michele Bachmann, or even Jon Huntsman, they’ll have an attack plan for any circumstance.

The GOP nominee will be:

*Crazy

*Dumb

*Racist (boiler plate for African Americans votes)

*For the Rich

*For Wall Street (Romney special)

*Too much like George Bush

*Not for the little guy

*Anti Gay

*Anti Women

*Anti Union

And this is only a partial list that include false sexual harassment allegations, false infidelity allegations (except for Newt), and if that doesn’t work false allegations of child molestation (that’s really popular), false allegations of sexual contact with farm animals, false allegations of secret deals with Iran and a false allegation of cheating on 4th grade exams.

I’m sure I’m leaving out a thousand other possibilities, but you get the idea.

Our greatest enemy is Political Correctness

Conservatives from William F. Buckley to Rush Limbaugh have said many a time that our greatest enemy is Liberalism.

Although I fully agree with this sentiment, I think such an acknowledgement needs to be updated for the 21st century and beyond.

We have GOP leaders in Washington that refuse to buck political correctness. They do everything they can to operate within the PC rules without realizing they’ve already lost the battle before it begins. That’s the way Liberals designed the PC milieu and it's foolish to operate within a rigged game.

I say it’s time for Conservatives to take our language and culture back. It will take many years and loads of courage. But, it can be done for sure! If we can get a handle on political correctness, Liberalism will forever be naturalized.

BUMPED: Why does Sean Hannity continue to give Karl Rove a platform?

The man who has done the most damage to the conservative cause in the past decade is Karl Rove!

Karl Rove is the guy who gave us the phrase “compassionate conservatism” which has done more harm in blurring and watering down conservatism since the days of Nelson Rockefeller.

Conservatism never needed a qualifier because there’s nothing uncompassionate about first constitutional principles.

Rove, leads a cadre of Republicans that believe that big government is acceptable as long as you put a conservative slant on it. That’s like arguing you can get a little bit pregnant.

Rove and his bunch of establishment Republicans also believe that winning elections is more important than principles. So, what happened when these types of Republicans had control of both houses of congress? They spent like Democrats and that’s why Rove’s assertion that conservative big government is doable is a flat out myth.

It’s time to excise Karl Rove and make his type irrelevant to Republican politics. He still gets a platform on Sean Hannity, who professes to be a Reagan conservative, of which I have no doubt. But, Sean still needs to answer for continuing to give Rove a platform that’s only hurting the conservative message.

Maybe Danny Chen died because he was weak? How political correctness shields the truth.

Story

We live in a society where the concept of personal responsibility is becoming as rare as a Bengal Tiger.

Take the case of 19 year old Danny Chen, a soldier who committed suicide while serving in Afghanistan. He did it to himself and it was ruled as such based on undisputable evidence.

But, the politically charged winds didn’t want to leave it there; it couldn’t possibly be Danny’s fault. It must be somebody else’s fault, not Danny’s. Hey, Danny was Asian American and maybe somebody teased him about it. Yeah, that sounds good let’s go with that. It’s not about Danny being personally responsible, it’s about him being Asian American and he couldn’t take being teased about it so it really wasn’t his fault he killed himself. He was bullied into it by somebody else.
So let’s divert attention away from personal responsibility and turn it into a racial issue that clouds the truth that Danny was a weak individual. Let’s ignore the fact that whatever teasing or bullying Danny received from his fellow solders it wouldn’t be a tenth as bad as the torture he’d received at the hands of the enemy. You can‘t expect soldiers to be tough as nails. Danny didn’t have to be because he was Asian. It has to be different rules for Danny.

This is our Navy? It’s a disgrace! Lesbian sailors share Navy's traditional homecoming embrace as ship returns

I will never be one of the voices that go along with the crowd, especially when they’re wrong.

Social engineering in our Armed Forces is a huge mistake! The job of military force is to kill people and break things up, not a lab experiment.

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was a brilliant compromise that allowed homosexuals to serve the military if they wished as long as they kept their sexuality private. But, some homosexuals, the activists, have to tell the world screaming how they have sex. It’s the only distinction they have in life and they must tell other people out of guilt. They want society to tell them it’s okay to be that way to alleviate the guilt and gain social acceptance.

Daily Mail reports a Navy tradition caught up with the repeal of the U.S. military's 'don't ask, don't tell' rule when two women sailors became the first to share the coveted home-coming 'first kiss' on the pier.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Marissa Gaeta of California, descended from the USS Oak Hill after 80 days at sea and shared a kiss in the rain with her partner, Petty Officer 3rd Class Citlalic Snell of Los Angeles.

The crowd screamed and waved flags around the couple as they shared the short embrace, with Gaeta, 23, wearing her Navy dress uniform while Snell, 22, wore a black leather jacket and blue jeans.

Love stuck Fred Dicker: Says Andrew Cuomo is a Bill Clinton Democrat being groomed for 2016 WH

Fred Dicker Is to Andrew Cuomo, what Chris Matthews is to Barack Obama. Every time I hear or read him in the NY Post discuss NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo, he can’t stop gushing about the guy. Honestly, Fred can you please put your tongue back in your mouth?

I just wanted to get this out there because Dicker can’t stop mentioning Cuomo as a possible Democrat choice for president in 2016. He loves to note how Cuomo is the most popular governor in New York history according to polls. However, none of these polls ever rang my phone because I would’ve told the pollster that Andrew Cuomo is one of the most “media hyped” politicians this country has ever seen since Barack Obama. Let me not mention that Cuomo has already broken one of his biggest campaigns promises to the people of New York—not raising taxes on anyone. He raised them for New Yorkers making more than $250,000 a year.

But, the New York press, including the Post seems to be smitten with Cuomo. I still can’t understand why. Perhaps Cuomo has more on media types than they have on him? If you get my drift.

Nonetheless, Dicker confirmed this morning on WABC radio that Cuomo speaks to Bill Clinton on a weekly basis. Maybe the former skirt chaser-in-chief is grooming Cuomo on how to be more Clintonian—be conservative on some issues and liberal on others. So the groundwork seems to be in the works for another Democrat myth being foisted on the American people. Cuomo is already a Lib national hero for signing Gay Marriage into law with the help of NY Republicrtats. There is no such thing as the Republican Party in New York. Those that call themselves GOPers here are a bunch Democrats with the sense to come out the closet.

You’ve been warned!
