The irony that floats between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich is incredible. Mitt is a recovering liberal while Newt is the undercover big government t GOPer. Neither man offers a clear choice against Barack Obama.
But, so far Gingrich seems to be pulling enough wool over the eyes of GOP voters that are flocking to his side in the polls.
According to Romney reffering to Gingrich:
“He has been an extraordinarily unreliable leader in the conservative world—not 16 or 17 years ago but in the last two to three years,” Romney said. “And even during the campaign, the number of times he has moved from one spot to another has been remarkable. I think he’s shown a level of unreliability as a conservative leader today.”
Romney is right. Newt has a tendency to go off the conservative reservation with his big government ideas.
What kind of conservative would ever sit with Nancy Pelosi?
