The Daily Mail reports the model and fashion blogger whose face was badly mutilated on one side by a plane's propeller ate solid foods and walked on her on Monday for the first time since the accident.
The progress of Lauren Scruggs, 23, of Plano, Texas, is being tracked by her parents and friends, who are thrilled that she is now able to walk on her own, eat some of her favourite foods, raise both eyebrows, and most of all, show her trademark smile.
‘She’s smiling,’ her dad Jeff Scruggs told The Today Show. ‘She's able to raise both eyebrows- that doesn’t sound like a big deal but they were worried about the nerve on one side.’
