Establishment Republicans lost this battle way before yesterday. Their geese was cooked when they went along with Democrats to cut the payroll tax in the first place. It never should have been done for two reasons:
1. It blows a hole in the social security trust fund which is already in deep trouble.
2. It gave Obama and the Democrats the ability to “play politics” when it came time to extend the tax no matter which way GOPers wanted to with it.
We saw what happened when Republicans balked at extending the tax. But, even if GOPers went along with extending it, Dems could’ve very easily turned the argument into another Republicans are trying to protect the Rich attack. Dems set the trap and “Me too” Republicans fell for it.
The Hill reports the deal struck between Republican House leaders and Senate Democrats to extend the payroll tax holiday for two months did not fill Rep. Time Huelskamp (R-Kansas) with holiday cheer.
"Washington wrapped and put under the tree a gift of more uncertainty for America," Huelskamp said in a statement. "Even though there is plenty of evidence this is a bad deal for America - especially our small business owners - the House has caved yet again to the President and Senate Democrats."

The problem with Washington GOPers besides being gutless is that they insist in operating within the PC realm and never take advantage of other alternative news sources to get their message out. If they continue to rely on the mainstream media to disseminate their message, they’ll get their asses kicked BEFORE the opening bell rings every time.
