Milk toast (anti-tea Party) GOPer Dick Lugar believes Tea Party kills off chance of getting Senate majority.

Primo conservative blog Weasel Zippers says “Lugar represents everything that is wrong with the Republican party.”

And he’s absolutely right. THE PROBLEM with Washington GOP types is that they believe being conservative is a bad thing. So they water conservatism down to the point that they look, talk and act like Democrats. This is the same stupid kind of thinking that has existed since the days of Nelson Rockefeller.

The Hill reports Sen. Dick Lugar (Ind.) facing a primary contest from the right in his reelection bid said past Tea Party-backed challenges had “killed off” Republican efforts to take the Senate in the past and could undermine a GOP majority again in 2012.

“A Republican majority in the Senate is very important, and Republicans who are running for reelection ought to be supported by people who want to see that majority,” Lugar said in an interview which aired Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union.

“I think the majority of Tea Party people understand that too,” he added.

But, Sen. Jim Demimt said it best, “I don’t want the majority back if we don’t believe in anything,” click here. The solution is replacing all these milk toast GOPers with more Tea Party principled Republicans.
