But prolific porn actress Sasha Grey has caused a storm of controversy after she was invited to an elementary school to read to first and third grade students, some as young as seven.
The X-rated star, who has been called the Kobe Bryant of porn, visited Emerson Elementary School in Compton, California as a celebrity guest reader earlier this month.
The visit was planned as part of Read Across America day, TMZ reported.
The 23-year-old seemed to be offering the children the Dr Seuss book 'One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish', but the class apparently rejected the classic in favour of something more contemporary.
Although Grey left porn for mainstream roles, including a stint on Entourage, two years ago, and now calls herself a performance artist, the winner of the ’2010 AVN award for best anal sex scene’ will hardly be considered a positive role model.
