Clueless Colin Powell thinks Tea Party presidential candidate can't win in 2012

I don’t know what happened to Colin Powell. It seems he’s very happy to be a media darling that gets to stick his finger in the eyes of the GOP every chance he gets.

But now his latest target of his ire is the Tea Party and Tea Party candidates. The Hill reports former Bush administration Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday dismissed chances for a Tea Party candidate to win the presidential election, criticizing the hard-line stance taken by the majority of the grassroots movement and advocated by their favored political candidates.

"The Tea Party point of view of 'no compromise whatsoever' is not a point of view that will eventually produce a presidential candidate who will win," he said on ABC's "This Week With Christiane Amanpour."

Doesn’t Powell realize that it makes no sense whatsoever to compromise with out-of-control spending that will send the United States off a cliff at 150 mph into financial ruin? Does comprise mean slowing the car down to 80 mph but still go in the same direction?

GOPers like Powell, and by no means is he unique doesn’t realize the country is in financial crisis. Democrats don’t care if we go off the cliff because their solutions are always more government.
It’s foolish to compromise with a man holding a gun to your head and ask him to shoot you in the heart instead. We either change course entirely or this country will be destroyed from within. Powell is getting very bitter in his old age with the party who lifted him up out of obscurity.
