You're FIRED! Jay-Z & Rocawear Hand Out Pink Slips

On January 6, the day before Jay-Z and Beyoncé checked into an extravagant private hospital ward to give birth to their daughter Blue Ivy, over half of Rocawear's New York City staff were laid off. According to the New York State Department of Labor website, the 28 employees were let go for "economic" reasons (which is particularly ironic considering all the hullabaloo over Rocawear's $22 "Occupy Wall Street" T-shirts)

Nicole Richie is Designing a QVC Line...


via US Weekly: Soon everyone can afford to dress like Nicole Richie! A source tells the new Us Weekly -- on stands Friday -- that the designer and Fashion Star mentor is currently designing a fashion collection for QVC. 

 Richie, 30, already has her House of Harlow and Winter Kate lines, but her new, QVC collection reportedly launch in February, coinciding with the premiere of Fashion Star. "The line is cute -- it can be worn by teeny-tiny girls but also goes up to size XXXL," an insider tells Us. "Nicole has a great fashion sense, and she's very hands-on."

Jennifer Lopez Clothing Line Launching Next Month


Jennifer Lopez has debuted the full look book for her Kohl's clothing line, which includes 51 looks.Set to hit stores and kohls.com on September 7, the line was a long time in the coming but hit some bumps along the way. Key among those was Lopez's high-profile split from husband Marc Anthony, who also has a collaboration with Kohl's coming out on September 7.

Mariah Carey is so over the top in these clips and surprisingly, I don't have a problem with it. And let me tell you, I usually *can't* with people being soooo... whatever this is. I couldn't tell you why it's not rubbing me the wrong way, but it's really not. Maybe because it's Monday?

Gwen Stefani Doing a Kid's Line for Target...



Target's next limited-edition designer collaborator is...Gwen Stefani. She'll be doing a children's line, to be precise, called Harajuku Mini for Target. There are prices ($3.99 to $29.99) but no pictures of the collection yet, which will hit stores in November. [via Jezebel, WWD]

Naomi Campbell is Adding "Designer" to Her Resume...



 Naomi Campbell has presented a capsule collection of 15 denim pieces in Milan – jeans in four wearabilities with special washes – which she’s created in collaboration with Fiorucci. Starting SS 2012, the Fiorucci collection will be produced by Ittierre SpA. At their office, Naomi Campbell explained the background to her first project as a designer. Alongside the jeans, the capsule collection includes five t-shirts printed with cover stories from the magazine i-D: Naomi been on the cover on several occasions, and the magazine chose the Fiorucci shop for its own Italian debut, in 1982.
