Men dressing up in women’s clothes has been a comedy standard that goes back to Milton Berle and the early days of television. So I’ll take that into consideration in watching this show.
The Huffington Post reports this sitcom that plays off the plots of "Some Like It Hot" and "Bosom Buddies" follows two men who dress like women to get jobs. The show has already sparked heated debate for its take on gender variance. See where you stand on the issue Tuesday when the series premieres at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC
However, what made it funny then is the absolute understanding of traditional gender roles of men and women. Since the Feminists Revolution those roles have been severely blurred and that hasn’t been a good thing.
