I rather have the most conservative candidate, but I’m afraid I’ll end up with Mitt Romney

I reached the point on TLT where I can no longer put up a post about the latest poll coming out of Iowa or New Hampshire. I couldn’t care less at this point because I don’t consider it news anymore.

Some other blogs may do it up to the last minute before the caucuses start tomorrow, but I’m done.

As far as which candidate I prefer, I’ve written posts touting Rick Perry, Herman Cain (the most posts) Michele Bachmann, and Rick Santorum. So, I think it’s obvious to of my readers that I’m not high on Romney, Paul or Newt. However, living in New York, I have very little impact on the race and by the time the primary comes to NY, the nomination may be a foregone conclusion.

So, if the nominee is Mitt Romney, then what’s done is done. I’ll be fully supportive and behind the eventual GOP nominee with every ounce of strength and TLT is going to reflect it because Barack Obama needs to be retired on Jan 20, 2013.

Romney may not be the candidate we conservatives want and I hope some evangelicals don’t stay home because of Romney’s Mormonism. That would be an extremely foolish thing to do if it means Obama keeps the White House. This is a vote for POTUS, not pastor or bishop. Obama is the bigger enemy, not any theological differences in church doctrine.

The Last Tradition is fast becoming one of the most popular political blogs on the net. Don’t miss out on the fun and tell a friend.
